Darius is the former founder of Pair Dental, currently known as DDS Matchmaker — a doctor-exclusive matchmaking platform for clinical and in-house 1099 roles, doctor associateship positions, and unique advisor placements sourced from his immense deal flow as a Fund Manager of one of only a handful of oral-health-focused venture capital firms.

He helped pivotally support the early growth and fundraising of Cloud Dentistry as head of business development, which became the largest dental staffing platform in existence — changing how dental practices choose their talent and empowering professionals to build thriving careers. Twelve years ago, he founded Pair Dental, a tech-enabled MSO serving dentists and traveling dental specialists. He is also the co-founder of Network Dental, which organizes in-person and Zoom networking events for oral-health and dentistry startups.

Darius began his journey in the dental industry at 18, in 1998, working from the trunk of his car in the streets of South Central Los Angeles selling latex gloves — before blossoming into a dental supply company. Over the next decade he grew Darden Dental Supply to over $15M in annual revenue before being acquired by Benco Dental Supply, where he spent three years as a territory representative opening the market for Benco in Southern California.

He attended UCLA as an undergraduate, majoring in history, and has provided consulting on supply procurement to large, privately owned dental group practices with $100M+ in revenue.

Fun facts: Darius invented the world’s first “99-Cent Pregnancy Test,” selling over 500,000 units. He has raised more money for dental startups than anyone else in the US, with over $20M documented, and has even married off two oral surgeons who worked with Pair Dental. He is a dad of three kids, 6 and under, an avid triathlete competing for IRONMAN age-group 45–49 podiums, and a former basketball shooting star with multiple MVP and championship titles. Darius lives in Great Neck, NY, grew up in Los Angeles, and was born in Germany to Iranian immigrant parents who fled the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

Brian is the founder of Aligned Dental Search, a placement firm built on the belief that hiring the wrong associate costs a dental practice $150K–$300K and years of disruption. He created ADS to fix that, pairing multi-location groups and entrepreneurial practices with associates who stay, produce, and fit the culture long-term.

For the last decade Brian has worked as a dental practice consultant and strategic advisor, sitting alongside practice owners on growth, leadership, and the people decisions that make or break a practice. Before that he spent ten years in talent management, human capital, and organizational development — where he built the assessment and methodology frameworks he still uses today.

That combination is rare in dental placement. Where most recruiters screen resumes, Brian runs a rigorous, fit-focused process — behavioral assessments, structured interviewing, cultural alignment mapping, and a deep candidate preparation methodology — to surface the associates who actually belong inside a given practice.

As Associate Partner Recruiter for DDS Matchmaker, Brian helps the community apply that same process discipline to associate, leadership, and advisory placements — bringing two decades of industrial-organizational psychology and dental-industry experience to the matchmaking work the platform was built for.
